A woman who loves McDonald’s so much that she has a tattoo of the logo got a Big Mac-sized surprise when her boyfriend proposed at the Golden Arches.
Isabella Borgesi’s love of all things McDonald’s runs deep – from family meals every Thursday as a kid, through getting a job at her local restaurant at 14, becoming a manager at 16, and now being a general manager of a franchise that owns 26 McDonald’s across Pennsylvania, with around 70 staff.
Isabella, 25, from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, even has a tattoo of the company’s logo on her torso, and hopes that, in the next five to 10 years, she will be an owner-operator herself.
With this in mind, her boyfriend, Marco, knew he had to tie the famous brand into his proposal in some way, and so he started working on a plan that would incorporate their local restaurant.
Marco has been there through it all, Isabella said, from fry deliveries at 2am to being a sounding board when the ice cream machine breaks down.

And so, on April 12, Marco had Isabella believe she was heading out for a family meal in the evening, before which she would stop by the restaurant to check out some new Happy Meal toys.
When she arrived at the restaurant, she saw a banner reading “Isabella, Will you marry me?” which was stuck to the window, next to a McDonald’s branded gazebo with candles and rose petals surrounding it.
The couple then walked over to the shelter, where Marco got down on one knee and asked the big question to a stunned and emotional Isabella.
Friends and family, who were inside the restaurant, captured the unique proposal on video, with Isabella’s sister, Sophia, later sharing the footage on social media where it went viral.

The couple plan to have McDonald’s-themed elements to their big day, too, with Isabella hinting guests may have McDonald’s as their evening meal before heading home.
She added: “McDonald’s has been my go-to spot since I was able to talk.
“It was a Thursday night routine for my family growing up to get McDonald’s.
“I even told my kindergarten class at our graduation that, ‘When I grow up, I will work at McDonald’s.’

“That dream came to life when I turned 14 and got a job at my neighborhood McDonald’s – the one where the proposal took place.
“Little did I know at 14 that it would become my passion and my long-term career.
“The proposal was amazing.
“We have been together for three years, and I have been asking when we’re getting engaged for like two and a half years.
“But I was 100 percent surprised by this, which made it even better.
“I did not imagine in a million years he would do it at McDonald’s, but it was perfect for me and I loved that all of our family and my closest McFamily was there as well.”
