A teen received the ultimate prom surprise when her beloved Marine brother appeared at her send-off, leaving her completely stunned.
Mikayla Jones, 18, from Atlanta, Georgia, was born just a year and a week after her older brother, Semario, a lance corporal with the United States Marine Corps.
Being so close in age, Mikayla said they have a “bond nobody can break,” and she sees him more as a twin brother, given they shared the likes of birthday celebrations and did everything together as kids.
And so, when Semario learned he had been given leave to return home around his younger sister’s prom, he knew he wanted to surprise her for the special occasion.

Having flown from Jacksonville, North Carolina, where he is based, to Atlanta, he then went to his sister’s prom send-off, where the 18-year-old was having photos taken by friends and family.
Semario then approached Mikayla, whose jaw dropped in shock when she saw her sibling walking towards her, before the pair shared a sweet reunion hug after many months apart.
She said: “My brother and I have a bond nobody can break.
“He has always been by my side since we were little – we did everything together, including birthdays, since they are only a week apart.
