She Thought It Was a Game Night Until the Final Puzzle Changed Everything

A girlfriend who loves game nights received the ultimate prize when she removed her blindfold playing a gameshow experience to find a ‘will you marry me’ puzzle and her boyfriend on one knee.

Since he started dating girlfriend Alicia Allen, 36, from Raleigh, North Carolina, boyfriend Andre Naylor, 46, has always known Alicia’s love of games nights with friends.

So, when Andre was planning ways to propose, he reached out to staff at The Game Show Challenge in Charlotte, who informed him they could alter the answers to lead up to asking the big question

Having received the family’s blessing, Andre asked Alicia’s friends to take her on a mini weekend two hours away to Charlotte, where he would be waiting with Alicia’s mom and their kids.

The game show was built into the day and with Alicia’s team down 2000 points, she was up for a blindfold round, where she had to read letters and try to guess the message on the screen.

After Alicia shouted out her guesses, the host, Shawn Carter, who captured the moment on video, asked her to take off her blindfold, where the words “Will You Marry Me?” were on screen.

Initially confused, Alicia swiftly turned around, where she discovered Andre down on one knee, and she gave an immediate and emotional “yes.”

With the screen later reading “She said yes” Andres’s son and daughter then presented Alicia’s baby daughter, aged two, with their own proposal, asking if she would be their baby sister.

Shane, who goes by his event host name Shice Talk Of Da Town, later shared the video on social media, where the couple were flooded with well wishes.

Andre and Alicia are now planning a destination wedding in 2027.

Alicia said: “The game show was super fun and as you can see in the video I was invested!

“My team was down 2000 points, then I was blindfolded and ready to earn some points back.

“I was fully prepared for the next question or a score update, until I was told to turn around.

“Behind me was Dre, on one knee, holding the most beautiful ring.

“In that moment, the happy tears overflowed and I instantly said, ‘Yes!’
