Dogs are notorious for hating having their teeth brushed.
But one pomsky has bucked the trend – and loves nothing more than getting her teeth scrubbed each and every night.
Rhea the 8-month-old pomsky surprised her owner Alexa Schmidtlein when, after taking an interest in her nightly routine, Rhea left onto the counter awaiting her turn.
Alexa, from Topeka, Kansas, said: “Rhea enjoys being apart of our daily and night routines.
“Each night she would be in the bathroom while we would brush our teeth.
“She became interested and wanted to join in. Every night while I’m brushing my teeth, she will hop up and rest her paws on the counter while I prepare her toothbrush and there she will wait for me to brush her teeth.”
Alexa, who raises pomskies and has had Rhea since birth, revealed that he pooches favourite brand is Young Living Thieves toothpaste.
She added: “Dogs usually hate having their teeth brushed.
We have several dogs and none of them look forward to it at all. I’m lucky if they even cooperate at all, but Rhea actually looks forward to it every night.
“She will hop up and rest her paws on the counter while I prepare her toothbrush and there she will wait for me to brush her teeth.
“After uploading a video of Rhea waiting and having her teeth brushed everyone thought it was funny and of course adorable! A few people were curious what toothpaste we used as well, which is Young Living Thieves – Rhea’s favourite.”
