A teen softball player fought back tears of happiness on her team bus when returning from a game and spotting her family waiting to surprise her with a new car.
Ella Coburn, 17, from Sharpsburg, Georgia, had driven a 25-year-old truck during her first year of driving, never complaining and proving to her parents she was extremely humble and a responsible driver.
So, her parents – dad Bret and mom Kristi – planned to surprise her with an improved vehicle on her 17th birthday, only for there to be a slight issue with the timing.

Ella’s softball team had a game rained out a few weeks prior, meaning she’d be playing the day of the surprise – but Kristi saw this as an opportunity.
Having hid her daughter’s Chevrolet Trax for more than a week, Kristi, 38, moved the vehicle to Ella’s school’s parking lot, where she waited with Ella’s friends and family.
On September 20, as the bus for Ella’s North Gate High School team, the Varsity Lady Vikings, was approaching the parking lot, Ella looked out the window and caught an early glimpse of her big surprise.

Her jaw dropped in shock, before she started crying tears of happiness before even pulling into the parking lot, knowing what was to come.
Having risen to her feet, Ella then made her way through the bus to loud applause from her teammates, before tearfully heading over to her family and her new ride, still in shock.

Mom Kristi said: “Ella has driven a 25-year-old truck, she’s a great kid and extremely responsible and has always wanted a Chevrolet Trax – but she had no idea she’d be getting one for her birthday.
“Ella is such a wonderful daughter, friend and teammate and her genuine reaction to the surprise captures that completely.
“I could watch the video over and over – everyone has been so excited for Ella and loved how we pulled off the surprise.”
