Exclusive to Happily

A sausage dog raised in a high-rise apartment couldn’t hold back her delight when her owner surprised her with her first-ever backyard.

When looking for a new home, Liberty Grace wanted to give nine-month-old miniature Dachshund, Mabel, easy outdoor access without relying on an elevator.

Liberty, from Manchester, UK, said the new home has been better for her and Mabel, with her sausage dog “thriving” in her new yard.

Having posted the clip of Mabel’s reaction on social media, Liberty was flooded with heartwarming comments and well wishes.

She said: “I wanted Mabel to have easy access to the outdoors without relying on an elevator.

“Whenever she stays with family who have gardens, she spends most of her time outside—she’s such an outdoorsy girl, so the move was really to give her that freedom all the time.
