Six-year-old Teddy isn’t your average young boy—he’s a self-proclaimed “eco warrior” on a mission to help the planet.
When Teddy discovered that sweet and chocolate tubs typically used during the festive period in the UK couldn’t be recycled through regular household collection in his hometown, he was upset—but quickly turned that frustration into action.
Setting an ambitious goal of recycling 500 tubs, Teddy didn’t stop there.

Thanks to his determination, he’s astonishingly gathered over 2,500 tubs.
Teddy told the BBC: “I’m one little boy and it started with one tub and one dream to save the planet, and now look how many we’ve got.”
His recycling journey began last year, fueled by inspiration from his hero, wildlife presenter David Attenborough.
“We have one planet and we need to look after it,” Teddy stated, emphasizing the simplicity yet significance of his mission.

With his mother’s help, Teddy reached out to his school, local shops, and even enlisted his grandfather to recover tubs from local recycling centers.
Soon, classmates, neighbors, and friends joined the effort, piling up thousands of plastic tubs destined for a special recycling charity.

Hampshire County Council, his local authority, praised Teddy’s dedication in a statement: “Well done to Teddy who has done a really fantastic job of helping people to recycle more plastic.”
The council now says it is actively working to expand the types of plastic that can be recycled locally after Teddy highlighted the issue.
