A family played a hilarious prank on their daughter’s boyfriend by convincing him they go caroling and sing American-themed songs on July 4th.
Good sport Parker Williams, 30, went with the flow as he performed for girlfriend Dabney Norton’s aunts, uncles, and cousins – who had never even met before.
Dabney, 28, from Atlanta, Georgia, an actress, said she is always making skits and pranking Parker, and it was her younger cousin, Abigail, who helped play a big role in this unique surprise.
Having come up with the idea to convince Parker that it was a family tradition to carol on July 4th, Abigail made the likes of caroling books so that Parker would believe her story and the surprise could come to life.

On the day itself, Abigail talked Parker through the faux tradition and even convinced him that he would also need to perform a solo.
Standing outside Dabney’s relatives’ home, Parker sang Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In The U.S.” at the top of his lungs, in a wholesome moment that Dabney was able to capture on video.
Dabney said she was also impressed with 12-year-old Abigail’s poker face, as without her hard work the prank, which went viral on social media, wouldn’t have been possible.
Parker saw the funny side of things, and though this was the first time meeting Dabney’s extended family members, he did manage to partake in one real tradition of theirs, which is to wear red, white, and blue as they all come together for an annual reunion.
