Rainbow Baby Pregnancy Reveal Leaves Husband on His Knees

A simple “can you bring me cereal?” set the stage for a reveal they’d prayed for after loss.

A husband bringing his wife breakfast fell to his knees in shock when she revealed the news they were expecting their rainbow baby.

Jenny Kugler and husband Chris, from Republic, Washington, have been together for seven years, and in November 2024, having committed to trying for a baby a few months earlier, sadly experienced loss.

The couple were heartbroken, and they made a pact they would give things a few months before potentially looking into testing to see if anything was wrong.

The moment it landed: a simple cereal request led Chris to a positive test and baby grow—then straight to his knees.

But during the last month of this commitment, Jenny, 27, took an early morning pregnancy test on June 13, while Chris, 30, was still asleep.

To her delight, the test was positive, so she took some time to compose herself after a “freak out session,” before deciding how best to tell her husband.

Once Chris was up and readying himself to head to the gym, Jenny asked him to bring her a bowl of cereal.

As Chris walked into his bedroom, he saw Jenny standing with her hands behind her back and a positive pregnancy test on the bed next to a baby grow.

He immediately froze in shock and said, “Wait, what?!” while Jenny nodded and sobbed tears of happiness.

The pair then shared a beautiful embrace, with Chris also crying and falling to his knees at the emotion of the moment.

The couple are now set to welcome a baby girl in February 2026.

Jenny said: “It was better than I ever could have imagined.

“I’ve dreamt of so many ways of telling him and I’m so happy with the way he reacted.

“This was something we’ve both have been wanting for so long.

“We unfortunately experienced a loss in November of 2024.

“I was starting to debate doing some more tests to see if there was anything wrong.

“Although we hadn’t been trying for as long as others have, I hope to share that there is hope when it comes to trying.”
