A beloved wife cried with pride when her husband of 11 years got down on one knee and proposed to her with an upgraded version of her wedding ring.
Victor Godoy, 35, from Los Angeles, California, also had tears in his eyes, having married his wife, Katherine, more than a decade ago in a modest wedding.
At the time, Katherine, 35 – who runs a wedding photography and videography company with Victor – had a three-year-old daughter and was pregnant with her and Victor’s first child.
When Victor initially proposed, he admitted, “It was not the most magical one, nor the biggest ring, but I got what I could afford at that moment.”
Eleven years later, with Victor now having a stepdaughter and two daughters of his own, he decided to upgrade his wife’s wedding ring as a show of his love.
Victor decided it would be fitting to involve the couple’s children, too, so he asked them to be his personal videographers and initially planned to propose again in a restaurant.
After nerves kicked in on the pair’s anniversary, Victor opted for a spot at the top of a parking lot instead.
He handed his eight-year-old his phone and encouraged the other two children to start recording, too.
Then, as he got down on one knee, he couldn’t hold back his own tears as he shared how he felt about his wife and what he meant to her – having their children close by only adding to the emotion of the moment.
Katherine said: “I was definitely not expecting this moment or an upgrade to my ring.

“This moment became extra special when Vic involved our daughters; seeing him crying as he spoke to me and hearing my daughters cry made me very happy.
“Even now, I still get emotional every time I watch the video.
“The response to our video has been shocking across different social platforms, with multiple comments from strangers about how emotional they’ve gotten from just watching our video.

“It has inspired other men to do something similar for their spouses and provided hope to all those looking for love.
Victor added: “When I initially proposed, it wasn’t the most magical one, nor with the biggest ring, but I got what I could afford at that moment.
“Eleven years later and now with our daughters, aged 15, 10, and eight, I had the idea of re-proposing to my wife in the presence of my kids.
“Not to mention they were my personal videographers.”
