A pair of siblings who thought they were visiting their mom’s friend’s house then ran from room to room in delight when they discovered they were standing in their new home.
Hard-working mom Megan Troutman, from Lancaster County, South Carolina, had promised her kids, Camden, 12, and Ryan, 7, that one day they would be able to move out of their two-bedroom rental, which had been home for seven years.

According to Megan, the apartment was small and had been poorly managed. So, she was determined to find a bigger space for her children and partner of six years.
Having tried relentlessly, Megan was eventually given a boost when a landlord told her he was willing to give her and her two kids a chance.
Excited to surprise her kids with the news, Megan set up a surprise – telling Camden and Ryan that they were simply headed to visit a friend of hers on February 1.
As the siblings stood in the kitchen of an empty house, they initially looked a little confused – only for Megan to then break the big news.
Camden’s jaw dropped in shock as soon as everything clicked, before he and his sibling then ran from room to room – excited to check out their new house.
Megan said: “The emotions were very overwhelming, but I was so anxious, as I couldn’t wait to surprise the kids.
