Soldier Dog Reunion Turns Into Pure Chaos When His Bulldog Realizes It’s Him

He wasn’t expecting a welcome committee, but the passenger seat had other plans.

A solider and his beloved dog couldn’t contain their excitement when they were briefly reunited before leaving for deployment.

Trevor Ewing, 24, a specialist with the United States Army, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, shares such a close bond with English bulldog, Boomer, that Boomer won’t eat and gets visibly sad when the pair are apart.

While Trevor is away on military duty, Boomer spends time with Trevor’s dad, and for the most recent separation, Trevor had to head off for a month-long training window before deployment.

When returning home, Trevor didn’t expect to see Boomer, as his girlfriend, Madison Inbody, 22, was picking him up, and Trevor’s father is based in Oklahoma City.

Trevor Ewing, in Army uniform with a packed duffel, laughs as his bulldog Boomer presses in close through the car window.
Boomer can’t hold back once Trevor Ewing is finally within reach.

But Madison had secretly collected Boomer before the pair were set to reunite and as Trevor walked across the parking lot, she wound down the window to reveal her special passenger.

As everything clicked, a stunned Trevor approached the vehicle on November 25, 2025, and joyously nuzzled his head into Boomer, who went viral thanks to his adorable butt wiggles.

Madison said: “Being apart is really hard, and I just wanted to give him a small piece of home and something familiar to hold onto.

“Seeing how excited and emotional he was made everything feel completely worth it and reminded me how much those little moments matter.

Trevor Ewing and Boomer share a close bond, with Boomer refusing to eat while he is on deployment such is her sadness during time apart.

“When you’ve been apart for a while, something simple can mean so much more than people realize – it honestly made my heart feel so full.

“The response has been overwhelming in the best way. Friends and family reached out right away, and seeing how many people connected with it online was really unexpected.

“It’s been so encouraging to read messages from people who’ve been through long-distance or military separations and felt seen by it.”
