A couple shared the wholesome moment their family members discovered they were welcoming not one child but triplets.
Shannon Murdock and her husband, Tyler, from Ontario, Canada, set up the surprises as if they were simply set to show different family members an update on the stage of their pregnancy after breaking the news.
After discovering she was pregnant, Shannon, 31, decided to take an early ultrasound at six and a half weeks because of certain health conditions.
While in the room, the couple first saw the technician label “A” and “B” on the scans – before then discovering there were, in fact, three individual sacks.

It was the strangest and most exciting feeling, Shannon added, as she and Tyler, 32, had not used IVF or had any history of triplets in their family.
And so, having wanted those closest to them to feel similar emotions, the couple set up a series of surprises for their closest family members first, before planning to tell others around the 20-week mark.
Whether it be their parents or siblings, the approach was similar: an initial casual intrigue at discussing the couple’s pregnancy before then seeing babies A, B, and C on the scans.
Tyler’s mom couldn’t help but say, “Are they sure?!” in shock, while his stepdad laughed hysterically.
Meanwhile, Shannon’s parents’ level of surprise only grew when she showed them each baby.
When Shannon said, “And here’s Baby C’s heart rate,” her supportive mom replied, “We’re moving in!” While her dad thought aloud, “I don’t even know people with triplets.”
There were more excitable reactions from siblings, too, with Shannon sharing the clips on her family’s social media channels in June 2025, each receiving a viral response and millions of views in total.
The surprises took place between August and November 2024, and the couple welcomed their sons, Marcus and Mason, and their daughter, Miley, on February 23, 2025.

Speaking of the surprise announcements, Shannon said: “It was great to capture everyone’s genuine reactions on film – especially because they had no idea we would be telling them we were expecting triplets with us not using fertility drugs and having no family history.
“We first just told them that we wanted to show them our ultrasound pictures.
“After showing them a couple photos and the heartbeats, we would say, “And here is Baby B’s heartbeat.
“All of our family were thrilled we were having twins.

“It was still such a shock for them.
“After that died down a little bit, we would say, ‘And here’s Baby C’s heartbeat.’
“That is when the family members were in disbelief and shocked.
“They couldn’t believe we were having triplets, and many thought we were joking.

“We felt so much joy seeing everyone’s reaction.
“I think my parent’s reaction about them moving in stuck out with me
“It’s honestly pretty hilarious to look back and watch – I know I’ve watched all of the reactions many times.”
