Owner Sam Spencer revealed his pooch Kevin, aged eight, has always enjoyed watching things, as his breed is known for spotting rats on farms.

Kevin’s inquisitiveness extended to watching the television, Sam, 31, added, with the dog often sitting watching entire documentaries and movies on the end of his couch.

He’s even become quite particular about what shows the pair watch as well as barking to nudge Sam to turn on a show.

And so, one day, Sam decided to capture Kevin watching a show on video, given that his friends had said how they were amazed by the dog’s love of television, too.

Those videos soon grew, with Sam initially posting six videos on social media, where they received more than half a million views.

To date, Sam has posted videos of Kevin watching the likes of Jurassic Park, nature documentaries, the Wizard of Oz, and a series of Disney movies.

In those clips, there are excitable jumps and barks for Kevin, which have warmed hearts and fascinated viewers on social media.

Sam, from Bristol, UK, said: “Kevin’s part of his breed to like watching things – but turns out it also means he loves watching TV.

“He’s watched TV all his life, but he’s become really into it since we moved house two years ago.

“He’ll now bark to turn the TV on and can be quite particular about what he wants to watch.

“Our friends are always amazed at how he likes TV so much, so I thought I would put a video together and see if social media enjoyed it as much as they did.

“He’ll jump on the ottoman in the living room and bark until we put something on.

“He’ll then sit quietly at the edge of the ottoman until there’s some action like an animal hunt or some dogs running around.

“He also gets very riled up by horses.

“Everyone loves it, not many people have seen dogs watch TV like Kevin does, and a lot of people have said how much they love him.

“He’s a very sweet dog and full of character.”
