A proud mom has shared her loyal family dog’s sweet routine of collecting her sons off their school bus each day because they live on a busy main road.
Deanna Rogers, 33, from Cape May Court House, New Jersey, brought family dog Thor, a German shepherd, in November 2023, as the breed is known for its loyalty.
But it wasn’t until this school year that Thor started to understand the routine of Deanna’s two boys, Daniel, 9, and Crue, 6.

Having noticed how the siblings would leave on their school bus in the morning and return in the afternoon, Thor one day thought he would head outside and greet the brothers.
Thor – named by the boys after the Avengers character – walked through the bus door and up the steps, Deanna said, where he then met Daniel and Crue’s fellow pupils and their dog-loving bus driver.
From that moment on, Thor’s trips to collect Daniel and Crue from their school bus became a daily occurrence during the week, with the other children on the bus often shouting Thor’s name.
To end the school year, Deanna decided to share a compilation of videos she had shot of Thor collecting the kids over the previous 12 months.

She said: “Thor knows when it’s about time for the bus to pull up and will literally look out the window for it.
“As you can see from the video, we live on a main road, a BUSY main road, so a German shepherd would be less likely to run off.
“As soon as they arrive, Thor’s whines ensue and he’s ready to head out the door to the bus.
