A routine grocery delivery turned into a life-saving moment when a quick-thinking driver rescued an unconscious woman inside her home.
Leandro, a delivery driver from a Poole supermarket, became concerned when a customer failed to answer the door despite the lights and television being on inside.
Sensing something was wrong, he decided to take a closer look.

Pushing away some branches near the living room window, he spotted the woman lying unconscious on the floor.
Acting swiftly, Leandro immediately called emergency services and sought help from a neighbor.

Paramedics arrived quickly and treated the woman, who is diabetic, with glucose to stabilize her blood sugar levels.
Reflecting on the incident, Leandro said: “I think it was fate that I called there that day. I wasn’t down to work, but I swapped shifts. I’m just happy that I was there and saved her.”

The woman, who is in her 60s, later expressed her heartfelt gratitude in a letter to the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
It read: “Leandro is such a wonderful chap, I can’t thank him enough for what he did. He did a marvellous job – he even came round later with flowers for me. What he did was certainly going above and beyond what I would expect supermarket delivery drivers to do.”
