Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 to help an 18-month-old cancer patient whose mother’s TikTok video captured the toddler calling the pop star her “friend.”
The Grammy-winning artist made the generous contribution through a GoFundMe campaign for Lilah, who is battling a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.
The donation aims to help offset mounting medical expenses for the family’s extensive treatment journey.

The heartwarming connection began when Lilah’s mother, Katelynn, shared a touching TikTok video showing her daughter watching Taylor Swift on an iPad.
In the video, Katelynn revealed her deep connection to Swift’s music, particularly the song “Willow,” which she had considered as a potential name for her daughter before ultimately choosing Lilah.

Lilah’s health crisis began dramatically on February 24 when she suffered a seizure while her mother was in labor at home. Hospital scans revealed a mass on the toddler’s brain, later identified as a stage 4 cancerous tumor.
Surgeons successfully removed the tumor, but the family’s challenges continued. Days after the operation, doctors diagnosed Lilah with an exceptionally rare form of aggressive brain cancer – one of only 58 documented cases in the United States last year.

The diagnosis launched Lilah into an intensive treatment plan requiring three months of chemotherapy followed by three months of stem cell treatment.
Throughout this difficult journey, the family has found comfort in Swift’s music, with Katelynn noting that Lilah has become a huge fan of the singer.
Swift’s donation came after the singer became aware of Lilah’s situation last week, with the contribution set to significantly ease the financial strain on the family as they focus on Lilah’s recovery.
