Sunday, the couple’s daughter met her great-great-grandmother before, but as it has been around a year since she visited June, Kameron, and Jazari decided to make their trip a surprise for them both.
On April 5, Sunday walked into her great-great-grandmother’s Georgia nursing home, while Kameron captured the moment on camera.
The 18-month-old initially looked confused by the occasion, as did June when her great-grandson walked into the room.
But once everything had clicked, the 107-year-old lit up with delight, before Sunday and her great-great-grandmother shared an emotional reunion hug.
Kameron later shared his sweet video of the moment on social media, which received an outpouring of loving comments and praise for how great June looked for her age.
Kameron said: “Growing up, my GG and I were like best friends.
“We shared a special bond, always laughing together at the silliest things.
“I’m her only great-grandson, so the relationship has always been unique.
“It had been over a year since my daughter and GG last saw each other, so this moment felt meaningful and important to capture.

“It was a beautiful and emotional moment. Sunday seemed a little nervous at first — she doesn’t often see elderly people, especially someone as senior as her great-great-grandmother.
“But she instantly melted into GG’s arms. I think she remembered her, and the hug was incredibly tender. My heart melted.
“I literally said ‘Aww’ out loud in the moment. It was so pure, so innocent.
“It felt like one of those rare moments that becomes a core memory — something we’ll always treasure.”
