A bride was brought to tears on her wedding day when her determined younger brother surprised her with her beloved baby books she thought sheâd never see again.
Bride Destinee, 25, from Utah, had been desperate to get her hands on the books, as her own daughter had been telling her she would like to see them â especially images of her mom as a baby.
Destinee revealed it was at her baby shower she first started thinking about the books, which she believed were still in her estranged motherâs possession.
Having left home at 17 and not been able to form a relationship with her mother since, Destinee felt she might never be able to show her daughter the books, which she had mentioned to brother Jacob, 24, who still lives in Washington State, where Destinee grew up.
Having sourced the books, however, Jacob secretly kept them under wraps until his sisterâs big day, coordinating with Destineeâs husband about the best way to surprise her.
On the morning of the wedding in Mount Vernon, Washington, Jacob walked into the room where his sister was getting ready, carrying a black duffel bag.
As Destinee was styling her hair in the bridal suite, Jacob placed the bag on the counter and pulled out the books, immediately making his sister burst into tears.

Having taken some time to compose herself, Destinee then walked over to accept the books from her brother before heading in for an emotional hug and crying on his chest.
Later, Destinee said her aunt and grandma came into the bridal suite and were shocked to see them on the counter, knowing how much she had said they meant to her.

Destineeâs daughter also looked through the books and was excited to see how much her mother used to look like her and her sister.
Destinee said: âIt was a wide range of emotions â I was shocked; I never thought Iâd see them again.
âThere was also the disbelief he was holding them in his hands, and a wave of gratefulness rolled through me.

âMy oldest daughter had a moment of going through them and was so excited to see how much she and her sister looked like me when I was younger.
âAll of my friends knew how much I wanted them back, and they all cried watching the video.â
