A golden retriever keeps wanting to hide in his owner’s closet – so he can get excited and jump out on them when they open the door as if they just returned home.
When Sierra and Gabe Ruggiero, from Cincinnati, Ohio, had just finished cleaning out a closet at home, they were met by their lovable pooch, Bonchi.
Spotting there was now more space in the closet, Bonchi kept trying to enter the storage area whenever Sierra, 23, and Gabe, 27, opened the door.
Having witnessed her dog’s playful actions a few times, Sierra then decided to take out her cell phone and record Bonchi’s playfulness.
In the wholesome video, Bonchi, right on cue, jumped out of the closet with delight as soon as Gabe opened the door, as if forgetting he had seen his owner just a few seconds earlier.
The couple decided to share the sweet video on their page @bigboybonchi that they run for Bonchi, where it immediately went viral.

Sierra said: “We let him into the closet and then closed the door for a few seconds.
“When we opened the door, he jumped out and was so excited to see us – it was like he forgot he had just seen us seconds before that.
“It was so funny to us we couldn’t believe he was so excited after not seeing us for just a second.
“It was like he had been in the closet for hours.
“I think the biggest thing to take from the video is that the smallest moments can be the happiest.
“Even though going into the closet is something so silly and insignificant, our dog was so happy to do it.”
