A woman who experienced stillbirth just months ago shook with happiness and shock when she broke the news to her family that she was pregnant with rainbow triplets.
Jenna Johnson, from San Antonio, Texas, went through one of the toughest periods of her life with husband Justin after Christmas 2025.
During that time, Jenna was reaching the end of her first pregnancy, and her family was excited to welcome a baby boy in the new year.
On December 30, Jenna felt the baby kicking well into the night, and the following day, the couple had what they thought was a routine 38-week scan.

But Justin said the doctor could not hear the baby’s heartbeat, and they were then rushed to the labor and delivery unit, only to be given bad news that they “would not be coming home with their little boy.”
The next few days were “heavy,” the couple said, as Jenna was still required to give birth.
Family members offered their support every step of the way, and the couple later named their baby Lucas because of his name’s meaning: bringer of light.
After having an initial period to grieve, Jenna and Justin made the decision that they wanted to start trying to build a family as soon as possible, and, to their shock, they fell pregnant just two months later.
The couple decided to keep the news quiet, as they were nervous that Jenna’s body hadn’t fully healed after Lucas’ birth.
But then, at their ultrasound scan, Jenna and Justin saw two clear forms, before the technician said, “I think there’s three…”
Everyone in the doctor’s office was so excited to see the triplets and the doctor added he hadn’t seen spontaneous triplets since he was in medical school.
Jenna and Justin had initially thought they would hold off to tell their parents, but in the car, filled with excitement – and the thoughts of needing help and a bigger car – they decided to tell them that day.
In an emotional moment, on April 23, which was captured on video, Jenna’s hands shook as she and Justin called their parents, dropping a photo of each baby into the video chat for the surprise reveal.
Their reaction ranged from shock to tears of happiness, and then, on group calls, the couple rang friends and siblings.
Jenna is due to welcome two identical twin girls and a little boy in early December – though they are realistically expecting the triplets to be born around early November.

Justin said: “It was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced.
“My dad put it really well: one of the happiest moments in your life becomes one of the saddest.
“The biggest miracle was about two months after losing Lucas when we learned Jenna was pregnant.
“We were holding our breath for the first appointment – walking up to the hospital, both so nervous.
“We decided to tell our parents earlier than we’d planned as after all, we were going to need 3x the help and prayers!
“We felt so loved – it was hilarious and emotional and so special all at once.

“Our moms in particular gave reactions that made me a little emotional.
“The reaction [on social media] has been so positive I have had so many friends and people I know reach out and tell me about how emotional they were watching that video.
“So many of them have been there for us throughout every part of our journey.
“I think my biggest takeaway is that people need hope in their lives.
“I’m so grateful that our story can provide that.”
