A bride and groom saw the funny side of things when their wedding arch caught fire on their big day.
When planning her wedding, Brook Rainsburg, from Kenton, Ohio, said she loved the idea of including sparklers that would be set off when she and her husband Blake walked back downtown the aisle.
The fireworks, Brook thought, would make for an excellent backdrop to pictures during the couple’s “dip” kiss, but on the day itself, it was very windy.
The couple took into consideration the possibility of fabric setting alight if the wind caught the sparklers, but not the floral arrangement.

As they walked back down the aisle following the ceremony at Brook’s aunt’s house, on June 13, the couple dipped, kissed, and in the background, flames could be seen engulfing the flowers at the top of their wedding arch.
Commotion then followed, which Brook even considering pushing the arch into a nearby pond to put out the fire.
Fortunately, the flaming arrangement fell to the floor, and guests were able to put it out as the couple watched on.
When she later posted videos of the moment on social media, viewers saw the funny side, too, making jokes about the fire being a “sign,” which Brook and Blake found amusing.
Brook said: “I loved the idea of having fireworks that were basically big sparklers for after the ceremony while we walked back down the aisle.
“I thought it would make some amazing pictures for our dip.
“It was a very windy day, and the only thing we took into consideration was the fabric catching fire, not the floral arrangement.

“We stood very corrected, as it went into flames instantly.
“Having this happen at my ceremony, after I had been stressing over everything the entire day about everything being absolutely perfect, shows some things are just out of your control.
“And sometimes the worst situations are what you will remember for the rest of your life.
“This definitely set the scene for the rest of the night.”
