A 92-year-old welled up with tears of pride when he held his first great great grandchild for the very first time.
Charlie Decker, from Port Charlotte, Florida, has built an incredibly close-knit family, great granddaughter, Jade, 23, said, with relatives following him and wife, Gerry, 93, across the country.
He started his own construction business in West Milford, New Jersey, which he later passed down to his sons.
After they sold the company, Charlie, Gerry and their children moved to Florida and they were later joined by Charlie’s grandson Garry Decker Jr. and his wife, Marissa.

Garry and Marissa built their life in Florida, and when their daughter, Jade, 23, gave birth on July 9, she couldn’t wait for her newborn daughter, Kacey, to meet the figureheads of the family.
On July 13, Jade and her husband, Dallas, 25, took Kacey to visit Charlie and Gerry, with Charlie immediately wanting to hold the new arrival and fifth generation of his family.
As he did, his eyes welled up with emotion, taking in the scale of the moment and how much family means to him.
Jade said: “As soon as we got to their house we took her out of her car seat and he couldn’t get Kacey out of my husband’s arms fast enough.
“It brought tears of my eyes to see him so excited to meet her; it really shows you how much this family means to him.
“Everyone is just as touched by the video as we are, it truly is a moment that touches your heart.
“It’s a moment she won’t remember, but we will as her parents and it truly brought joy to her great great grandparents.”
