A woman thought someone was stealing her suitcase before realizing it was her best friend who had flown 4,000 miles to surprise her.
Abigail Castronova was waiting to pick her luggage up in South Carolina, USA, on November 27 when she noticed another passenger taking her suitcase from the carousel.
Abigail confronted the woman and confirmed it was her bag.

But suddenly, the woman removed her hoodie and face mask, revealing Abigail’s best friend, Darcy, who had flown an astounding 4,000 miles from Scotland to surprise her.
An emotional Abigail turned away in shock before hugging her best friend – who she hadn’t seen in 18 months – with tears streaming down her face.
Abigail said: “I thought someone was stealing my suitcase. It turns out it was Darcy who had flown 4,000 miles from Scotland to surprise me for Thanksgiving with my family.
“I felt overwhelmed with excitement, disbelief and love.
“We’ve both been going through a hard time without each other since I’ve moved away and needed this.”
