A blind Taylor Swift fan could not contain her excitement when she felt a bejeweled dress and feather boa and realized that she was set to go to the superstar singer’s Eras Tour.
Sophie Trist, 28, has always been a huge fan of Swift, singing her songs with her sister Georgia, 24, as the pair grew up.
Ahead of Sophie’s golden birthday – when a person turns, for example, 28 on the 28th – Georgia noticed that Swift was set to play a date from her Eras Tour in New Orleans, where Georgia is based.

Georgia spoke to her parents, Will and Allison, who both agreed that tickets to the Eras Tour would be the perfect gift for Sophie, who is currently based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, attending school.
Having initially waited in a long line of Swifties only to fail to obtain tickets, Sophie’s family were eventually able to source some, with Georgia saying the gift had to be a surprise.
She set herself the task of breaking the news to her older sister, who has been blind since birth, and came up with a tactile play on the singer’s song, “Bejeweled.”
Georgia purchased a bejeweled top and feather boa – another item popular with Swifties – and as not to raise suspicion, the family took Sophie to a brunch spot that has become somewhat of a birthday tradition.
Then, on October 27, having kept the surprise a secret for months, Georgia and the family raised at toast during brunch, celebrating the birthday girl.
Georgia then told her sister that she had a small gift for her to open, and having set her phone to record, Sophie started to feel the items of clothing.
When things began to click, Sophie’s family immediately it up, with Georgia later sharing the wholesome video on her TikTok channel.
She then captured sweet videos of Sophie’s time at the Era’s Tour, where she was seen dancing to her favorite Swift songs and spending time with her sister and father, who took the pair as a dad-daughter night out.
Speaking of the surprise, Georgia said: “I was so nervous!
“We’d been keeping this secret for months, and I was so antsy to finally tell her because I was worried the surprise might slip out somehow.
“I told her we had one small gift for her to open and set up my phone to record the moment.
“She was absolutely speechless and had no idea this was coming.
“It was one of the sweetest moments being with family.
“Surprising people with gifts and seeing their raw reactions is one of my favorite things, so I was thrilled that we pulled it off.
“She was absolutely beaming, and it made me so happy.

“I just know she was probably secretly a little disappointed about flying in for her birthday the same weekend as the concert but thinking she wouldn’t get to go—so being able to take her was such a great feeling.
“My dad took my sister and me for a father-daughter night out, and it was such a blast.
“Taylor puts on the most incredible show—I had chills watching her and dancing with Sophie all night.
“Even my dad knew quite a few of the songs, which was hilarious.
“The whole day was amazing, from a wonderful brunch with our family and grandparents, to seeing the famous Skeleton House on St. Charles, getting ready for the concert, and then dancing all night long.”
